We touched on it last week, and here's the proof: fall sports are here! Girls golf opened the athletic calendar Wednesday afternoon at Maxwelton in hosting East Noble and Lakeland in a nine-holer. East Noble would claim the head-to-head win over the hosts, 181-242, while Lakeland only brought three golfers to fall shy of team score qualification. Leading the way for West Noble was Lilyen Lindsay with a round of 51, followed by Neveah Gantt at 62, Konstance Hoover at 64 and Lacy Leamon at 65.
