West Noble celebrated Senior Night on Thursday evening, honoring five seniors before defeating Churubusco 5-0 in varsity girls tennis action. Recognized prior to the match were seniors Evelyn Anglin, Aleena French, Bryza Valenzuela Perez, Beverly Vizcaino, and team manager Konner Duesler for their dedication and contributions to the Charger tennis program. The Chargers were dominant throughout the lineup. At #1 singles, Tali Riegsecker earned a convincing 6-0, 6-0 victory over Emily Stew. Ava Delong followed with a strong 6-1, 6-0 win at #2 singles, while Mya Emmert cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at #3 singles. In doubles play, the #1 doubles team of Beverly Vizcaino and Lilly Stout battled to a solid 6-3, 6-4 win. West Noble’s #2 doubles pair of Darci Ritchie and Aubrey Hilbish completed the shutout with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory. Additional exhibition matches also went the Chargers’ way as Marly Shrock, Aleena French, Bryza Valenzuela Perez, and Macie Miller all picked up wins for West Noble. The Chargers continue to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season. The Chargers are 11-4 on the season (4-3 in the NECC) and play in the West Noble Invitational on Saturday.
