The West Noble Lady Chargers held on to defeat a determined Lakeland Laker squad on Friday night in LaGrange 41-38. The Chargers were led in scoring by Elyse Mead's 17 while Ella Limerick added 10 and Addyson Burns chipped in 8. Ava DeLong also added 4 for the Chargers while Brooklyn Barden and Leah Pruitt each added a point. Coach Wiktorowski's team upped its record to 7-9 on the season. Coach Wik had this to say..."This was the second close game this week we were able to pull out. I think both wins showed some toughness by our young players. I thought Elyse Mead, Ella Limerick, and Addy Burns all made some big defensive plays that led to some easy baskets late tonight. Ava DeLong would not be denied on the boards. Now we need to carry the momentum of 3 straight wins into conference tourney play next week." The Chargers will host the Eastside Blazers on Wednesday in the NECC tourney.
