The West Noble boys basketball team defeated Churubusco in Varsity action Saturday night in Turtle Town. The Chargers broke the game open in the 2nd half behind a balanced scoring attack. Aiden Replogle led the Chargers with a season high 17 points while Nolan Kelly added 14 and Trevor Steele 13. Caleb Saggars chipped in with 8 points while Blake Jones scored 7, Brody Mast 6 and Cameron Eash 4 to round out the scoring. The Chargers outscored the Eagles 29-11 in the 3rd quarter to seal the victory. Coach Marsh added... "I really was proud of our effort tonight, especially on the defensive end. Our ball pressure in the 3rd quarter really put the game away. We need to keep the momentum going in to next week." The JV was also victorious over the Eagles. Great job Chargers! The Chargers are now 2-3 on the season and 1-0 in the NECC. The Chargers play at home Friday night against the Central Noble Cougars. The JV game will start at 5pm while the girls varsity team will play at 6:15pm followed by the boys varsity. The Junior Class will be hosting a Taco Dinner in the cafeteria starting at 5pm. The cost is $10 and as always, it will be delicious.
